Already seen by more than 70 million theatre goers worldwide, Les Mis�rables is the world's most popular musical and continues to delight tens of thousands of people every year. The London West End production can be seen at the Queen's Theatre, featuring memorable songs Bring Him Home, I Dreamed a Dream, On My Own, Stars and many more.
Based on the 1862 novel by Victor Hugo, Les Mis�rables is an emotional and inspiring musical set in early 19th-century France with music by Claude-Michel Sch�nberg. Les Mis�rables tells the story of French peasant, Jean Valjean, who when we are introduced to him is currently prisoner number 24601 spending nineteen years in jail for stealing a loaf of bread. "Five years for what you did. The rest because you tried to run.", as explained by ruthless police inspector, Javert. During Valjean's story, you'll become absorbed with lots of other Les Mis characters all trying to cope with the danger and uncertainty of living in revolutionary France.
Les Mis�rables tickets can be purchased for the stalls, dress circle and upper circle. Upgrade/package options include restaurant meal deals and theatre breaks including a hotel stay.

Les Mis�rables useful information
Performance hours: Monday to Saturday 7.30pm. Wednesday and Saturday afternoon matinee show at 2.30pm.
Arrival time: Queen's Theatre opens to the public 45 minutes before performance time. You don't need to arrive very early but get there at least half an hour before the show starts if you'll be collecting your Les Mis�rables tickets from the theatre box office.
Running time: 2 hours 50 minutes including one 20 minute interval/intermission when you can run outside for a smoke or head to the theatre's small bar. Drinks can be pre-ordered and this is recommended as it can get a bit hectic.
Age limits: No 'babes in arms' are allowed at Les Mis�rables.

Les Mis�rables facts and trivia
01 June 2012 marked the 11,000th performance of Les Mis�rables in London.
After two years in development, the English-language version opened in London on 8 October 1985. The original cast included Colm Wilkinson as Jean Valjean.
Les Mis�rables transferred to the Queen's Theatre on 03 April 2004 from the Palace Theatre, London.
Victor Hugo also wrote The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, published in 1831 (31 years before the publication of Les Mis�rables).
